Introducing a new platform for strategic growth

Recapping Revenue Diaries

Kyle recently joined The Revenue Diaries Podcast with Kyle Lacy, where they ask the top revenue leaders in the world some deep questions about life in general. Kyle L. makes it clear that all the questions are not shared before the interview and are asked right on the spot.

Listen here.

Playing the Long Game

They kick off the chat with “playing the long game”, something Kyle York harps on. Kyle York defines what he means and explains the importance of having a long term vision as we tend to get caught up in the day to day flow.

Family Business Values

Next, the Kyles cover family business values and the entrepreneurial background that runs deep in the York family. Both of KY’s parents have taught him valuable lessons growing up as they opened and ran a successful sporting goods store in Manchester, NH. These lessons consist of not only business but life lessons in general. His parents instilled in him the importance of working hard for what you want in life and the importance of a strong home base.

Impact

Then, the two Kyles go on to discuss KY’s past experiences at Oracle and Dyn and the knowledge he gained from his higher-ups. KY talks about what gets him out of bed in the morning and why having an “impact” on employees, entrepreneurs, and businesses make him strive to be the best he can be day in and day out.

Loyalty

One word that keeps coming up is “loyalty.” KY explains how loyalty is woven into the core threads of the businesses he is involved in like his 3rd generation shoe business, YORK Athletics, and our firm, York IE. Being loyal to your clients, coworkers and community goes a long way and benefits everyone involved.

Risk

KY is then asked about risk. Something that all entrepreneurs deal with. KY’s take on startup risk is that it’s relative. He explains how, with the internet, there is no better time to start a business. He then covers the personal risk he took moving to CA with his now wife and how it benefited him in the long run, both personally and professionally.

Get in Touch!

The Kyles close on how to get in touch with Kyle York and where you can find him on the internet. If you’re reading this, then you already know how!
