2021 was a great year for Indian startups, and 2022 is also turning out to be a great year so far.
India now has 100 unicorns, with 44 unicorns born in 2021 and 14 more born in 2022 so far. And, of course, you don’t have to be a unicorn to be a success.
Overall, more than 500 Indian startups received $9.4 billion USD in funding in the first quarter of 2022 — a nearly 1.3X year-over-year increase. The times are looking great for Indian entrepreneurs and innovators.
