Introducing a new platform for strategic growth

York IE Hires New Executive to Scale Investment Network

(Manchester, N.H., Jan. 18) — The world of technology investing involves a complex web of stakeholders. Founders, venture capitalists and investment partners all have their own priorities, but they share a need to constantly forge new connections.

York IE, a vertically integrated strategic growth and investment firm for technology companies, today announced it has hired Tom Anderson to grow its world-class investment network.

As vice president of ecosystem and investor relations, Anderson will develop and manage relationships with current and prospective investment partners, venture capital and private equity firms and York IE’s portfolio companies.

Anderson will also be responsible for:

  • connecting portfolio companies to outside investors;
  • introducing new investment partners to the York IE investment syndicate;
  • hosting meetings, events and presentations for prospective investors and partners;
  • building content and tools for investors within York IE’s Fuel platform; and
  • helping other VC and PE firms offer York IE’s advisory to their portfolios to operationally support their strategic growth.

Meet Tom Anderson

Anderson, a Wall Street-trained equity market professional turned cloud software strategist, has an extensive track record of expanding business and exceeding targets.

“This role allows me to work at the intersection of emerging tech companies and investment partners — two audiences I’m very comfortable with,” he said. “I look forward to building new relationships and connecting our companies and partners with the resources they need to mutually benefit.”

Anderson joins York IE after five-plus years at Oracle, where he most recently served as a director in ACS Security Services. Previously, he spent 12 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in various institutional equity sales and trading roles.

York IE Investments

In addition to providing Advisory as a Service to technology companies, York IE operates a B2B SaaS investment syndicate. The firm has issued 54 investments in 41 companies since 2019, including 17 investments in 2022. Three York IE portfolio companies have been acquired and more than 20 have raised additional capital.

York IE’s core syndicate is made up of a diverse group of high-net-worth individuals and family offices that want access to a unique asset class and the firm’s strong deal flow. These investment partners are drawn to York IE’s unique and differentiated approach of investing active capital at the earliest stage, which often involves providing operational guidance to portfolio companies through its Advisory as a Service offering.
