(Manchester, N.H., Sept. 13) — York IE, a vertically integrated strategic growth and investment firm, announced today that longtime Oracle CIO Mark Sunday has been named an investment partner and advisor for enterprise technology within the York IE portfolio.
Sunday brings with him 20 years of experience as CIO and senior vice president at Siebel and Oracle, where he was responsible for providing the global communications, computing and security infrastructure that enabled Oracle’s internal business operations as well as a variety of hosting and education services for customers. Previously, he spent 10 years as vice president, information technology at Motorola. He is currently an advisor or board member at several startups including Vutility, Quantum Metric, Kaltura, Containn, Chassi, 1440 and Defendify, a York IE portfolio company. Additionally, he is a member of the Eccles School of Business Advisory Board at the University of Utah and a governor appointee to Utah’s STEM Action Center.

As an investment partner, Sunday joins York IE’s core investment syndicate focused on early-stage B2B SaaS investments. This primary investment vehicle is made up of a group of high-net-worth individuals, successful tech entrepreneurs, family offices, and strategic partners.
In addition to joining the investment partner syndicate, Sunday will work closely with York IE’s portfolio companies as an advisor in enterprise tech. His experience will be utilized to help examine the current role and landscape of IT, its valuable metrics and the impact it has on digital transformation.
